Provenance:

Literature:
“Hey Baal” is a tribute to consumer production. Made entirely from scrap metal; this piece refers to a processed steel coil in premonition of the shape it will become. From his studio on the Niagara Escarpment, Elzinga creates unique indoor and outdoor steel and metal sculptures that resonate with a distinctly Canadian perspective. With a twist of Pop Art, “Hey Baal” is playful and thought provoking, addressing the environment, and our social consumption behaviours with consumer products.

About The Artist:
Floyd Elzinga received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, NS. He has been exploring traditional metal working techniques to create textures and depth the same way a painter would use a paintbrush.
