George Balbar was born in 1930. He was seen as an established contemporary artist and was primarily inspired by the 1930s. If you grew up in the 1950s around the Niagara Region you would have certainly come across works by George Balbar probably hanging in your doctor’s office. Balbar is known for his “Images of…” series, beautifully illustrated books of cities, towns and communities.
