For the month of February we will be starting a tradition on the grounds of 13th Street Winery encouraging more guests to enjoy the beautiful outdoor winter setting. We are counting on Mother Nature to deliver the materials needed this month to make our Canadian outdoor experience a memorable one.

*All entered snowman will be photographed and documented for our panel judges.

ABOUT THE JUDGES:
GEOFF FARNSWORTH
Geoff Farnsworth is a painter well known for his joyous portraits and expressive colours. Geoff Farnsworth began his art training in Vancouver in classes at the Federation of Canadian Artists, Emily Carr, and Capilano College in the Graphic Design & Illustration Program. He then moved to New York City to study at the Art Students League from 1997 to 2002. He is committed to a studio practice while also teaching. He has taught at Niagara College in the Graphic Design Program for the last decade, and is very involved in the Niagara art scene with being on the Board at the Niagara Artists Centre, teaching for the Willow Community, and collaborating with artists and musicians in the region.
His paintings have been shown in New York City, Washington DC, Minneapolis, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Niagara Falls, Norway, Sweden, and Trinidad.
PATRICIA GAGIC
Patricia is an accomplished international contemporary artist and an award-winning author. Patricia exhibited with BB International Fine Arts in Switzerland with her work accepted at art fairs in Geneva, Berlin, France, Austria, Zurich, London United Kingdom and Seoul, Korea. In 1999, she began her solo mentorship with Master artist Dragan Dragic in Sovoillan, France.
Patricia is a certified meditation specialist / facilitator who completed her certification in Applied Mindfulness and Transformative Mindfulness and Mindfulness Without Borders from the Faculty of Social Work Factor Inwentash at the University of Toronto. Her studies continue at Yale University, Princeton and the University of Alberta.
Patricia has received numerous awards and nominations, including Status of Women – Woman of the Year, YMCA Peace Medal, YWCA Women of Distinction, and the Toronto Women’s Expo Award of Excellence. She is an invited member of the IWF (International Women’s Forum) Toronto Chapter and member of the Engagement Committee.
BART GAZZOLA
Bart Gazzola is an artist, arts writer, critic and independent curator. He has inspired conversations and increased awareness for the local arts community through his writing and through organizing the five by two visual communication series. He is widely published in critical Arts magazines such as Magenta Magazine, Canadian Art, New Art Gazette, Galleries West, PrairieSeen, Long Exposure and BlackFlash (where he was Editorial Chair for 3 years). He is Assistant Editor at thesound.rocks and a frequent contributor to various cultural spaces in Niagara. Some of his past curatorial projects include REGION (Contemporary Saskatchewan Painting) and Personal Geographies (an overview of The Photographers Gallery collection). His most recent curatorial project was Welland: Times Present Times Past (2020) at AIH Studios in Welland and A Place To Stand: Legacy of the Rodman Hall Art Centre Collection, an online exhibition.
